PLANS to change the use of a long-established cafe in Main Street, Frodsham, into a hot food takeaway are to come before Frodsham Town Council’s planning committee on Monday (June 10)
The Frodsham Coffee Shop is on the south side of Main Street at its junction with Fountain Street, at the edge of the town centre.
A report to be considered by the committee states that the applicants have operated a café at the site for many years.
But for economic reasons they propose to change the business to a hot food takeaway.
There would be no external operations to the building.
An existing extraction duct is located on the rear elevation of the two storey element of the building . The extraction system would include filtration to the requirements of the local planning authority . A gated side access leads to a rear passageway for a waste storage bin
The site is in an established commercial area and the applicants say the change of use will be in keeping with the town centre and provide a useful service to the local community, enhancing economic activity.
Frodsham’s planning committee are consulted on the application but the final decision will be made by Cheshire West and Chester Council’s planning committee.
