CLIMATE Action Frodsham is inviting local people to join a walk through Frodsham’s Community orchards – and help themselves to some tasty local applies.
The walk will start at the Community Orchard by the Fire Station on Ship Street at 2.30pm on Saturday, October 16.
It will involve a walk of three miles and will last about two hours.
There are some steps and rough ground on off-pavement sections, so the walk may not be suitable for pushchairs or wheelchair users.
But all participants are invited to take a bag to collect some apples.
The following day, Sunday, October 17, there will be an apple pressing event at the Churchfields Community Orchard.
People are invited to take their apples along for turning into apple juice and Climate Action Frodsham members will demonstrate how to turn apple juice into cider
Cakes will be available for those who arrive early and help with the pressing – it’s quite hard work!
Anyone attending is advised to dress appropriately for the weather and to take their own refreshment or picnic.
As the event will be weather dependant it will be advisable to check the Climate Action Frodsham website for late updates in case of severe weather.
