Kingsley Players’ incredible beanstalk panto

FEE-fi-fo-fum! – The award-winning Kingsley Players are back on stage for an evening of panto fun as Jack and his Incredible Beanstalk take root on stage at Kingsley Community Centre in January.
Written by the group’s multi-talented musical director William Arnold Ashbrook, the musical play tells the much-loved traditional tale of young Jack, who sells the family’s cow for some seemingly worthless beans.
Award-winning young actor Matthew Betteridge takes the title role and he is joined on stage by many Kingsley favourites – Sue Elliott as his long-suffering mother, David Snow and Simon Hetherington as bumbling burglars, brothers Joe and Roy Youds as ugly sisters and JoJo Gleave, as wicked Grizelda who dupes the poor farm boy out of his bovine pal.
A large enthusiastic cast, golden eggs, giant beanstalks and a cornucopia of corny jokes are guaranteed to wipe away the winter blues.
Director Jo Oultram said: “This marvellous show has all the much-loved ingredients of a traditional pantomime and Arnold has written some fantastic, foot-tapping songs. We guarantee to bring a smile to your face with the sheer silliness of it all.”
Jack and the Incredible Beanstalk will play for five performances at Kingsley Community Centre, Wednesday 29th January – Saturday 1st February 2020, including a Saturday matinee.
Tickets cost £8/£9, with £5 students/children available on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday matinee. Book in advance through the website www.kingsleyplayers.co.uk or by ringing the box office on 07724 892154.
