FIREFIGHTERS were called out to attend a HGV fire on the M56 near Frodsham earlier today, Monday.
At around 5.30am One fire engine attended from Powey Lane was called to reports of a HGV fire on the M56 westbound between junctions 12 and 14.
On arrival the crews found that there had been a small fire had been caused by overheated brakes.
Firefighters used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and cool brakes.
The vehicle was then moved to a safe location.
Firefighters were detained at the scene for around one hours 30 minutes.
