Five to fight for Weaver Vale in General Election

FIVE candidates will contest the Weaver Vale constituency – which includes the Frodsham and Helsby area -in the General Election to be held on December 12.
Labour, who took the seat from the Conservatives at the last General Election, will also face challenges from the Liberal Democrats, the Brexit Party and the Green Party
The candidates, in alphabetical order, are:
Amesbury, Mike (Labour)
Bowers, Paul Richard (Green Party)
Goulding, Nicholas William Sean (Brexit Party)
Parker, Daniela (Liberal Democrats)
Wordsworth, Adam (Conservative)
There was speculation prior to the nominations being announced as to whether Weaver Vale – as a marginal seat held by Labour – would be contested by the Brexit Party.
In the EU Referendum, Weaver Vale vote narrowly to Leave – 50.55 per cent to 49.45 per cent.
