A 40-meter stretch of Godscroft Lane, Frodsham, is to be temporarily closed to traffic for up to five days starting on January 31.
The closure is to enable work to be carried out on the railway bridge by Network Rail and the closure will involve 20m of the road either side of the bridge.
Although an order for the closure will cover a period of up to five days, it is not expected the work will take more than one day.
The road will remain open for vehicles requiring to visit properties on or near the stretch of road involved and also for emergency vehicles,.
But a through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use alternative routes.
