Frodsham to the rescue when floods hit Northwich!

FRODSHAM came to the rescue when flooding hit a retirement complex at Northwich.
Residents of the Weaver Court retirement village were evacuated to Frodsham’s Best Western Forest Hills Hotel.
And the team at care company Home Instead Frodsham moved swiftly to help the Weaver Court residents.
After hearing of the crisis from their sister office in Northwich, The Frodsham team , including co-owner Alison Moynihan and general manager sprang into action to help support their neighbouring office and the team from Cheshire West and Chester Council.
They provided reassurance to residents, organising caregiver care calls and making sure all medication and welfare needs were met.
Alison said: “Receiving a call that two of your neighbouring office’s clients are part of the 49 residents who have been evacuated due to flooding is devastating. We knew we had to help in any way we could. Therefore, Laura and I have been working around the clock alongside members of our caregiver team to deliver our outstanding support to residents as required.”
Philip Green, of social care at Cheshire West Council, said: “This was a challenging situation where we had to move quickly to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the people in our care. This was a real team effort and we would like to thank everyone at Home Instead for being part of that team. The staff members were responsive to the needs of the residents and they showed a really flexible approach that addressed the needs of individual residents and ensured they had support during this difficult time.
“The team at Forest Hills Hotel have given so much to help keep the residents safe. It has been a pleasure to work alongside all of these kind-hearted people.”
Residents were cared for by the carers, hotel staff and the team from Home Instead until their safe return to Weaver Court on yesterday (Monday)
