MAJOR roadworks will start on the A56 in Frodsham on Monday and could last up to 16 days.
However, it is hoped the work will be completed within 10-12 days.
It will be suspended on Thursdays, for market days, but will continue of a weekend.
Zayo Group is installing ducts and building access chambers on the A56 for future fibre cables between Sutton Weaver and Helsby. They aim to achieve this the safest and quickest ways possible. Through busier areas such as Frodsham this will involve directional drilling to minimise disruption. Residents and businesses directly affected should have received a letter from the company.
Work in Main Steet and High Street, Frodsham is due to start on Monday and parking bays will be suspected in sections, with advance warning signs for the bays to be affected.
The local streetworks inspector will be monitoring the works and making sure they are carried out as agreed.
All the work will be completed before the Frodsham’s Christmas Festival on November 24..
