Mother and baby rescued from blazing house at Frodsham

A MOTHER and baby were rescued from a blazing house at Frodsham in the early hours of yesterday (Sunday).
The blaze was in Arran Drive, Frodsham, and firefighters used a seven metre ladder to rescue the casualties from a rear bedroom window.
Fire engines from Runcorn, Widnes and Penketh were called to the scene.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire using two hose reel jets and the mother and baby were handed over to the care of paramedics.
The fire started in an electrical cupboard on the ground floor.
Firefighters were called to the scene at about 4.20am and were there for about an hour and a half.
