ONLY a day after schools in the Frodsham area re-opened after the Christmas holidays, they closed again today as Covid-19 forced the country into a third national lockdown.
In fact, as Frodsham’s primary schools and Helsby High School had already scheduled yesterday as an Inset Day, most pupils never returned to school.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson, announcing the new lockdown, indicated it was likely to last until at least the middle of February.
People were told to stay at home – and to only go to work if it was not possible to work from home. People who are considered vulnerable on health grounds were told to “shield.”
