Town Council’s £8,000 grant to Youth Association

MAYOR of Frodsham Cllr Alan Oulton has handed over a cheque for £8,000 to Frodsham Youth Association – this year’s Town Council grant to the association.
He made the presentation at the association’s annual general meeting and Duke of Edinburgh’s award presentation evening.
Youth Association chairman Sian Day said: “We’re so grateful for the continued support of Frodsham Town Council.
“This money helps to cover our core costs which means we can focus our fundraising efforts to support a wide range of engaging and supportive activities.
“This currently includes a music group, Duke of Edinburgh, a monthly teenage market, an LGBT group as well as giving young people a safe place to come and have fun with their friends.
“Against a background of cuts to the youth sector, Frodsham Youth Association continues to grow and we have lots more plans for the future. As a charity, we rely on the support of the local community and donations like this one to make this happen.”
