Two taken to hospital after Frodsham fire

TWO people were taken to hospital by ambulance last night after a kitchen fire at Frodsham.
The blaze was in Fluin Lane, shortly after 8.30pm and involved a deep fat fryer.
Three fire engines were sent to the incident – one from Frodsham and two from Runcorn.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire using a hose reel jet and a fire blanket. A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the premises and a thermal imaging camera was then used to check for hotspots.
The two casualties were suffering from smoke inhalation and were assessed by paramedics before being taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
Fire crews remained on scene for one hour and 34 minutes.
