RAIN wiped out both Frodsham’s cricket matches on Saturday – but Kingsley managed to play both their 1st and 2nd XI games against Ashley.
The 1st XI won at home, posting 174-4 in 28 overs, Alistair Begg hitting 54, Kingsley Warman 37 not out and Haris Yassin 33.
Ashley could only post 142-9 in the shortened game with Mike Yeates taking 4-16 and Martyn Jenkis 3-64 for the home side.
The 2nd XI game at Ashley went the other way with Kingsley posting 104, Steven Forster 33, Ben Southworth 24 and Alex Wilson 23. Ashley knocked off the runs for the loss of only one wicket.
Alvanley managed to make a start to their game at Upton and had reduced the home side to 21-2 when the rain put an end to the proceedings. Chris Charles and Matty Drury took a wicket each.
The Alvanley 2nd game was cancelled.
