WEAVER Vale Housing Trust (WVHT) is celebrating after being placed at number two in the nationwide Top 25 Housing Organisations category of the esteemed annual Best Companies workplace engagement survey, entered by hundreds of organisations each year.
They also came 36th in the national Top 100 Large Companies to Work For category.
This is the Trust’s twelfth consecutive year taking part in the national Best Companies survey, which recognises the UK’s best and most effective employers to work for.
Earlier this year the housing association, which owns and manages over 6,300 homes in Cheshire and Warrington, received the ‘outstanding’ 3 Star accreditation from Best Companies, which is the highest standard of workplace engagement, representing organisations that truly excel.
Chief Executive Wayne Gales said: “I am incredibly proud to lead an organisation which is made up of colleagues who are so committed to each other and puts our customers at the heart of all that we do.
“Being placed at number 2 in the housing organisations category is a real testament to that and means even more than usual given the challenges of the last year.”
“The Best Companies survey includes factors such as giving something back, wellbeing and personal growth and I’m delighted that staff feel so positively about this despite the experience of the pandemic.
“We are determined to play our part in building back to a fairer society and economy in the years to come. Having such an engaged workforce who know they are valued will undoubtedly enable us to do that.”
