A CROWDFUNDING project has been launched in Frodsham to raise money to replace all paths, steps and bridges in Hob Hey Wood.
The wood’s Friends Group says it needs help from local people to convince Cheshire West and Chester Council that Frodsham wants to improve the facilities in the wood.
A large number of backers may convince the council. It doesn’t matter how small the amount pledged – even £1 will help.

The Friends of Hob Hey Wood put in hours of maintenance work in the wood – which is classified as ancient woodland.
Volunteers carry out work to keep footpaths in good order and safe for walkers.
But they can always use help from the wider public
In recent years they have carried out path construction, biological recording, maintenance work such as boardwalk repair, drain clearance, removal of invasive species, litter picking, pruning, tree planting, bluebell seed collection and planting, etc.
