FRODSHAM went down by six wickets at Tranmere Victoria after a batting collapse.
Skipper Matt Deakin won the toss and elected to bat first – but it was a decision that was to rebound as Frodsham were bowled out for 77 in just 24.4 overs.
Matt Williamson, with 16, was top scorer and only four batsmen managed to reach double figures.
Tranmere lost four wickets – including an early run-out – but despite Deakin taking 2-30 reached victory in the 17th over.
Frodsham 2nd also lot in the return match at Frodsham.
Batting first, Frodsham were all out for 135, mainly thanks to a fighting 52 not out from Callum Madigan.
Tranmere lost only one wicket in chasing down the target.
Kingsley lost by 28 runs at home to Oakmere.
The visitors batted first and were all out for 172, Ben Stoddart taking 4-49 and Tom Eyley 3-55.
It seemed a “getable” target but Toby Mullins, 37, was the only batsmen to offer much resistance and Kingsley ended up 144 all out.
Kingsley 2nd suffered a 10-wicket mauling at Macclesfield after decided to bat first.
Opener Jaimie Creek hit a battling 62 but the side were back in the pavilion with 172 9on the board – – not enough to worry the home size who hammered their way to 176-0 in 26 overs.
Alvaney picked up a useful six wicket vicctory at home to Macclesfield who were bowled out for 152. Chris Charles took 4-57 and Sam Mallows 3-17.
Skipper Michael Rowlands hit 75 to set Alvanley on the road to a winning total of 153-4 with Alex Reid offering good support with 38.
