MP impressed by free photographic exhibition

LOCAL MP Mike Amesbury was impressed with the standard of work when he visited a free photographic exhibition in Frodsham.

The public display, by members of Frodsham & District Photographic Society, is at Castle Park Arts Centre until September 18, open 10am-4pm, every day (except Sundays).

Mike, who was given a tour by programme secretary Ian Stanley and committee member Marie Aldridge, said: “It was a pleasure to be with Ian, Marie and the team. Superb images have been produced locally and further afield as part of The Joy of Photography exhibition.
“Some members have now taken up photography as a passion full-time and others for enjoyment and fulfilment, which has been particularly so during the pandemic.
“I’d not only encourage visitors to go along and see the free exhibition but for those who might have an interest – at the moment they’ve got 25 active members – I’d encourage you to join.”
Anyone who enjoys photography is welcome to join whether a ‘beginner, happy snapper or expert’. Visit the group’s website for more details:
