ORGANISATIONS and individuals in Frodsham are being invited to apply for cash grants from the Town Council.
The grants will be awarded for projects which promote social inclusion, increase skills and activities to aid social inclusion, enhance the social, cultural or economic well-being of Frodsham or achieve excellence in their chosen activities.
Last year, the council awarded grants totalling £8,060 to eight organisations. They ranged from £150 to £3,500.
Examples of activities that can attract grants:
* Sports, recreational and play activity
* Performing arts (theatre, music, etc)
* Visual arts (painting, sculpture, etc)
* Media, film and video
* Museums
* Literature
* Architecture, landscape and parks
* Combined arts and festivals
* Sponsorship
* Cultural heritage
An application form and further details are available from the Council’s website (www.frodsham.gov uk) or from the council office at Castle Park House.
Deadline for applications is August 1. Decisions will be made and payments issued by cheque in November.

Applications will not be considered: for day-to-day running costs;
retrospectively (where money has been already spent or committed);
from organisations or individuals who were awarded an FTC grant within the past two years.
Last year, grants were awarded to: Weavervale and Sandstone Cycle Forum; Frodsham Community Centre; The Zodiac Operatic Society; Frodsham History Society; Castle Park Arts Centre; Frodsham Parish Hall; 4th Frodsham Scouts and Weaver Words Literature Festival.
