ORGANISERS of the eighth Frodsham Charity Music Festival are hoping that this year’s event will enable them to hit their target of raising £100,000 for charity since the festival started.
The festival takes place in the open air at Forest Hills on Saturday August 11.
A wealth of local musical talent will be on stage and, as in previous years, all musicians, helpers and organisers will be providing their services free of charge.
Among organisations to benefit from funds raised at the earlier festivals are Mencap, Halton Haven, Claire House and the Scouts and Cubs in Runcorn, Helsby and Frodsham.
The total amount raised so far is nearing the £100,000 mark to organisers hope this year will hit the target.
They have expressed their gratitude to all local businesses and music fans who have supported the event.
Bands appearing include Phoenix, Double Barrel, Take Phat, Just Hit Town, The Quayz, Days Above, Junction 12 and Last Chance Band.
Tickets cost £10 and are available from Dandelion, Forest Hills or via mobile 07855 562 594
