IT’S exciting times for Frodsham-based retailer Land of Beds, with the award-winning company announcing its recent expansion across the North West.
Following the official opening of a new store in the Pemberton area of Wigan recently more support staff are now required at Land of Beds’ headquarters in Church Street, Frodsham – meaning more job opportunities will be created within the local community.
“Ever since my grandad founded the company almost 50 years ago, it has always been our aim to look after our valued local customers and to boost Frodsham’s economy wherever possible,” says Mike Murray, Managing Director at Land of Beds.
“With our third store now open, we are delighted that we have been able to expand our business this year and create a presence in Greater Manchester, but we are especially pleased to be in a position to increase the number of staff we have based at our Frodsham office, which will continue to be our company HQ.
‘We’d love to hear from anyone in the local community who is ready for a fresh professional challenge, where the emphasis is on delivering the highest standards of customer care and being a committed team player.”
This year has proven to be another successful chapter in the family-run business’ ongoing story, with Black Friday sales breaking company records on the eve of a third store opening, as well as being crowned Britain’s ‘Retail Family Business of the Year’ at a prestigious awards ceremony this summer.
November saw Land of Beds being recognised for their online business excellence, where they were finalists in the ‘Online Retailer of the Year’ category of the Digital Entrepreneur Awards (North) – an occasion that celebrated not only the high-profile websites and leaders driving online commerce, but also the silent heroes who develop the systems that change the online landscape and shape our digital future.
“With Christmas and New Year now on the horizon, I hope that news of local jobs being created will be warmly welcomed,” adds Mike.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to be at the cutting edge of retail, we have no intention of resting on our laurels and look forward to an exciting start to 2018!”
