Frodsham lost a match they would sooner forget

Frodsham’s cricketers get a game at last – but still await a victory!

FRODSHAM Cricket Club’s 1st XI finally managed to get onto the field after weeks of being rained off.
Unfortunately they lost by 68 runs at Winsford – leaving them still awaiting their first victory of the season
The home side batted first and hit a challenging 168-3.
Jaymie Smith, 28 and Leon Pietrzac, 23 batted well for Frodsham but received little support from the rest of the batting lineup and the side were bowled out for 100.
Frodsham 2nd enjoyed an exciting victory over Warrington 4th, hitting 77 and dismissing their opponents for 74.
Ben Stoddart took 4-16 as Kingsley dismissed Barnton for a paltry 69.
Then Kingsley lost four cheap wickets before Charlie Loy, 24 not out and Alistair Begg, 22, took them passed the winning post.
Kingsley 2nd dismissed Woodford for 51, Jason Taylor taking 5-4. Kingsley took txhe pointxs with 55-2.
Alvanley bowled out Mobberley for 91, Stephen Charles taking 4-33 and Lee Ainsworth 4-5 in four over Alvanley then cantered to 95-2, Simon Gee hitting an unbeaten 51 and Michael Rowlands 34 not out.
Alvanley 2nd hit a challenging 202-6 against Mobberley 2nd with J Evans hitting 72 and Charlie Fletcher 41. Then James Palliser took 4-41 as Mobberley were dismissed for 140.
