HELSBY High School is holding two Open Evenings for Year Six primary school pupils and their parents/carers this year to reduce the number of people in the building at any one time.
The first is tomorrow Tuesday,( September 28) and is for pupils from Alvanley/Manley schools, Kingsley St John’s, Frodsham Manor H9ouse and Weaver Vale.
The second is on Thursday (September 3) and is for pupils from Frodsham CE, Horn’s Mill, Kingsley Community and St Lukes.
In a letter to parents, head teacher Martin Hill says: “It is a real pleasure to be able to invite you and your child to one of our Open Evenings. The evening will provide you with an opportunity to meet with current students and staff, see many of our facilities in use and hopefully get a feel for the school’s ethos and atmosphere as you consider the very important choice of secondary school for your child.
“We are delighted to be able to welcome Year 6 students and parents into the building this year, but are still very mindful of the challenging times we are still living in. Rather than having one exceptionally busy evening, as used to be the ‘norm’, we are having two evenings this year, each for half of our primary schools.
(including your own child’s) invited on Tuesday 28th This will reduce numbers in the
building at any one time and make it a more comfortable experience for all. ”
Year 6 students and/or parents who for any reason are not able to attend either on-site opening evenings can attend a virtual Open Evening at 6pm on Thursday, September 30.
This will involve the launch of an updated virtual tour and the opportunity to ask questions of senior members of staff. Anyone wishing to use the virtual opening evening should let the school know at email@example.com to let the school provide a link for the on-line event.
