A chance take lead role in a hilarious comedy

KINGSLEY Players are looking for a “seasoned amateur thespian” to take the lead role in their next production – a hilarious comedy by well-known master of farce Ray Cooney.
“Funny Money” will by staged at Kingsley, May 18-21.
The story concerns middle-aged Henry Perkins who is travelling home to Fulham on the underground and looking forward to his birthday dinner.
He accidentally picks up the wrong briefcase but later, at the tube station, opens it to find it contains £735,000 in used £50 notes.
A hilarious saga follows with Henry pursued by the police and by “Mr Nasty” – owner of the briefcase – and “Mr Big” who is after the money.
Kingsley Players say the part of Henry presents a fantastic opportunity for an experienced amateur actor to join them in the production.
They say: “If you are male, 50-plus, with a few years experience under your belt and fancy a crack at a lead role in a superbly funny play, then get in touch.”
Would-be Henry’s should email funnymoney@kingsleyplayers.co.uk
