A VACANCY has been declared on Frodsham Town Council following the resignation of former councillor Felicity Davies.
The Labour councillor – who was elected unopposed in May last year – represented Lakes Ward.
Her resignation leaves the council with 10 members – four in Overton and Five Crosses ward, three in Waterside Ward, two in Castle Park ward and one in Lakes ward.
A meeting of the council on March 28 was due to consider co-option of an applicant to fill the vacancy in Lakes ward but the item was deferred as the applicant was not in attendance.
The council should have 16 members but has not had a full complement since the summer of 2021 when five independent members – including the father of the council, Lord Frank Pennington who had served for more than 45 years – resigned following a storm over politics.
That left the council with only nine members. Currently there are 10.
