Frodsham and Helsby libraries offer plenty of fun for the summer holidays

FRODSHAM and Helsby libraries are offering a wide range of activities to help keep children occupied during the summer holidays.
Its all part of a wider programme of events being offered by Cheshire West and Chester Council, working alongside partners and community groups to remind families of the support available to them during the summer.

But if you want to know what is on offer at local libraries, you need look no further.

Frodsham Library

Every Saturday from 16 July to 27 August – Lego challenge, treasure hunt and crafts
• Saturday 16 July, 10am – 12pm: Institute of physics
Come and test out some amazing science gadgets. Drop in.
• Wednesday 27 July, 10.30am – 11.30m: Digital Gadgets
Lots of digital fun. Book via the library.
• Wednesday 3 August, 2.30pm: Fun Science
Meet Wacky Jackie and her amazing scientific gadgets. Gasp and giggle at amazing fun science experiments and perhaps take part yourself. Book via the library or online
• Tuesday 9 August, 10.30am: Flight simulator
Not to be missed. Have a go at landing a plane and discover all the tech and gadgets needed. Book via the library.
• Wednesday 17 August, 10.30am: Animals Takeover
Join animal expert Lyndsay as you learn about and get hands on with all sorts of creatures – from cute and cuddly to creepy and crawly. Learn how clever animals can be, especially when it comes to finding food. Book via the library or online
• Thursday 25 August, 10.30am: Noodle Performance
Dance and performing arts with a special Gadgeteers theme! Get moving with dance sessions from Noodle. For children aged 7 – 11. Book via the library or online.

Come and meet RSK Holdings who will be bringing some amazing gadgets – their CAT 4 and Genny machines. Find out how they detect cables underground and design your own maze craft. Book via the library.
• Friday 5 August, 10.30am: Dogs Trust
Do you have a child that loves dogs? Or is maybe a bit nervous around them? Join Bethan from the Dogs Trust for stories, quizzes, games, gadgets and crafts to explain how to behave safely around dogs (please note the session involves a toy dog but no live animals). Book via the library or online.
