Five wicket haul for Nick James as Frodsham win

OPENING bowler Nick James bagged five wickets as Frodsham won comfortably, hosting Styal.
He also had a hand in running-out a sixth batsman as Styal were dismissed for 117 in 37 overs.
Winning the toss, Frodsham skipper Matt Deakin asked the visitors to bat first. It proved a wise decision as wickets were soon falling.
The eventual score of 117 was something of a recovery and was thanks to some lively resistance by the tail.
Even so, it was not enough to trouble Frodsham who started well and reached their target in 25 overs for the loss of six wickets. Top scorer was M Connolly, with 40.
Frodsham 2nd also won at Upton, batting first and scoring 143-9.
Pick of the batsmen were Dave Halliwell, 34 and Leon Pietrzak with 32.
Upton were all out for 95 in the 39th over.
Pietrzak took 4-19 and Deakin 2-27.
Kingsley won by three wickets at Runcorn.
The home side were all out for 136 after being asked to bat first.
Skipper Ben Stoddart, 4-44 and Tom Waring, 4-26, were the pick of the bowlers.
Toby Mullins, with an unbeaten 47 top scored for Kingsley as they cantered to victory on 140-7.
Stoddart contributed 30.
Alvanley went down by nine wickets at Congleton. Skipper Michael Rowlands hit 34 and fellow opener Stephen Charles 36 as they hit 153 all out.
But the home side hit off the runs for the loss of just one wicket.
