Frodsham Players – as you have never seen them before?

THEATREGOERS should be able to see members of Frodsham Players as they have never seen them before – when they stage “Calendar Girls”.
Tim Firth’s play, based on the true-story of WI members who posed in the nude for a calendar to raise money for charity, will be presented at Frodsham Community Centre from November 30 to December 3.
The story is, of course, already a global sensation as a play, a film and a musical – with music by Frodsham’s Gary Barlow – but the Frodsham Players production must surely still offer something new for local audiences.
In the meantime, the Players are busy rehearsing for their next production, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” which will be presented in the open air in the courtyard at the Castle Park Arts Centre from July 7-10.
Directed by Carole Shinkfield, the play tells the famous Lewis Carroll story of Alice’s adventures after she goes down a rabbit hole and discovers an amazing wonderland under the ground.
Tickets are on sale at £10 for adults and £7 for under-16s.
