FRODSHAM Town Council is to seek a precept of £175,000 for the coming year – a reduction of 1.3 per cent.
It will mean a charge of £46.94 for the average Band D property – compared to £47.55 for the current year.
This mean the Town Council will need to take £86.600 from balances and will leave the council with depleted reserves of about £88.628 – equivalent to three months’ running costs.
However, this in line with recommended free reserves of between three and 12 months’ running costs.
The charge for the full range of properties in Frodsham will be as follows: Band A: £31.29; Band B: £36.51; Band C: £41.72; Band D £46.94; Band E: £57.37; Band F: £67.80; Band G: £78.23; Band H: £93.88.
The precept covers only Frodsham’s share of the overall Council Tax bill. There will be additional charges levied by Cheshire West and Chester Council, Cheshire Police and Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service.
