FRODSHAM’S household waste disposal centre will by closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day – in common with most other waste facilities across Cheshire West.
But the centre will also be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, December 29 and 30.
On Christmas Eve, the centre will be open from 8am to 4pm, as it will be on Monday and Tuesday, December 27 and 28 and on New Year’s Eve.
Cheshire West and Chester Council say there will be no changes to refuse collection during the festive season.
But garden waste collections have already been suspended and will not resume until Monday, February 28.
From that date there will be a £40 annual charge for garden waste collection.
But the council points out that garden waste can still be disposed of for free at recycling centre – and that composting in your own garden is also a good, free way of disposing of garden waste.
