Police investgate after suspected arson attack at Frodsham

POLICE are investigating after a fire, believed to have been started by arsonists, broke out near flats in Ashton Drive, Frodsham.
The blaze was reported at about 7.40pm on Saturday and involved a number of bins at the rear of the flats.
Firefighters from Runcorn and Widnes were called to the scene and extinguished the fire before checking the area for hot spots using a thermal imaging camera.
There was evidence to suggest the fire had been started deliberately and a Cheshire Fire Service spokesperson said if anyone had information about the incident they should report it, anonymously, to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
