Save the Date – for Frodsham’s great Platinum Jubilee celebrations

PLANS are well under way for a great community event in Frodsham to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Frodsham Town Council is working with various community organistions in the town to stage a fantastic event on Saturday, June 4.
The Rotary Club, Frodsham WI, Churches Together and Scouts and Guides will be contributing to the celebrations
There will be food, entertainment, an organised dog walk, a kids area, dog show, competitions and much, much more.
On the evening of Thursday, June 2nd there will be a parade to the beacon on Frodsham Hill and on Sunday, June 5 there will be a Churches Together Event.
All the events in Frodsham are in addition to the national celebrations that will take place during a four-day Bank Holiday weekend. The Frodsham Hill beacon will be one of more than 1,500 beacons to be lit nationally.
The BBC is televising a live concert from Buckingham Palace, featuring some of the world’s most popular artists.
And of course local people are being invited to take part in the Big Jubilee Lunch – events large and small that can include street parties, picnics in parks or garden barbecues
