THREE fire crews were called out earlier today (Friday) to tackle a large vehicle fire at a landfill site near Helsby.
Three fire engines from Chester, Frodsham and Ellesmere Port attended to reports of a fire at a landfill site on Chester Road at around 12.45pm.
The fire involved general waste on a trailer.
Wearing breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets were used to put out the flames.
On-site machinery was used to turn over the materials and used two hose reel jets to damp down.
