POLICE are investigating after a fire was started on a children’s playground off Ship Street, Frodsham.
They were called in by firefighters who went to the scene and extinguished the blaze using a hose reel jet.
The fire – which involved a wheelie bin – had been deliberately started under some trees.
A fire crew from Runcorn dealt with the incident.
