Alterations proposed for historic Frodsham building

PLANS have been submitted to make alterations to one of Frodsham’s most historic buildings.
Owner Joan Hardin is seeking permission to change the thatched roof of the cottage at 89 Main Street from straw to water reed.
The Grade 2 Listed cottage is believed to date from around 1640.

The proposals involve only the thatched roof at the front of the building. The rear elevation has a slate roof.
The application will be considered by Frodsham Town Council’s planning committee but the final decision will be made by Cheshire West and Chester Council.
