Another vacancy occurs on Frodsham Town Council

ANOTHER vacancy has occurred on Frodsham Town Council – the third since the Covid-19 pandemic began.
The new vacancy is in Lakes Ward and follows two earlier vacancies in Waterside Ward and Overton and Five Crosses Ward.
Any 10 electors from within the ward can call for an election by contacting the Returning Officer, Cheshire West and Chester Council, 4, Civic Way, Ellesmere Port, CH65 0BE within 14 days of today (Thursday, November 5).
If no election is call, Frodsham Town Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.
The council says if an election is called, it is unlikely to take place before next year because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the meantime, the two earlier vacancies in Waterside Ward and Overton and Five Crosses Wardare now to be filled by co-option. Applications for co-option must reach the town clerk by 4pm on Monday (November 9) with a view to the co-options being made at a council meeting at 7pm on Monday, November 23.
