THE countdown to Christmas started in spectacular style with the annual Frodsham Christmas Festival lighting up the streets of the town.
The festival included a full day of events including a Christmas Fayre at the Arts Centre, stories and crafts in the library, live music, Christmas markets, Santa’s Grotto and reindeer and street entertainers.
In the evening the Christmas lights switch on was followed by the festival parade with a laser show.
Hundreds of people lined the street to watch the Christmas Festival Parade, this year led through the streets by the amazing Karamba Samba band from Chester.
Mayor of Frodsham Cllr. Liam Jones together with ex-Mayor of Neston Pat Kynaston and Frodsham’s two junior mayors were transported in the parade by hovercraft kindly supplied by Frodsham business Hoverforce Adventure Activity Centre.
The event was, once again, hugely successful thanks to the tireless work of the organisers and large army of volunteers and also to the people of Frodsham who braved the cold to be a part of it.
