A WOMAN who has risen from apprentice to marketing manager in five years has won the title Rising Star of the Year in the North West Apprenticeship Award
Emilia Hoyle who joined Helsby-based Heat Trace Ltd in 2014 on a Level 4 NVQ business administration apprenticeship, now goes forward to represent the North West at the national awards in London on November 27.
She said: “I am delighted and honoured to win the Lloyds Banking Group Rising Star award. It is a major reward for all the hard work and dedication I put into my work and studies. It is a great opportunity to be completing a degree whilst working and earning. I am really enjoying my apprenticeship and all my colleagues are very supportive.
“I look forward to representing the North West at the National Awards.”
The Rising Star Award seeks to recognise impressive career progression to date and the potential to go even further. Emilia has already risen to the position of marketing manager at Heat Trace, a successful high growth manufacturing company while still completing her degree apprenticeship.
Emilia started her apprenticeship in the marketing department in 2014 and started a degree apprenticeship at the University of Chester two years later, when she was also promoted to marketing assistance.
Earlier this year she became marketing manager and now manages a new apprentice and department.
Outside Emilia’s day job, she is vice-chairman of the North West Young Apprentice Ambassador Network and enthusiastically promotes Heat Trace’s apprenticeship scheme and proactively seeks opportunities to present on apprenticeships in schools.
The national award will be decided by a public vote and you can support her and the North West in this by clicking on https://appawards.co.uk/vote
