Fire Service apprentices create new pathway

TWELVE Fire Service apprentices have created a new entrance pathway at Frodsham Community Centre.
The Prince’s Trust initiative, carried out by the youngsters prior to starting their service training, involved them designing the feature, raising funds, sourcing materials and carrying out the work within a 12-day window.
To finish off, they landscaped the area, planted shrubs and put in benches and bird boxes.
The path offers a new, safer access to the community centre, away from the drive.
It was officially opened by the Deputy Mayor of Frodsham, Cllr Frank Pennington and followed by a presentation by the apprentices and a fundraising raffle draw.
Frodsham Community Association has issued a big thank-you to the apprentices on behalf of the local community and all others who supported the project.
