FRODSHAM suffered a disappointing defeat at the hands of Cholmondeley in the UKFast Cheshire Cricket League.
But their 2nd XI tasted victory against Hartford.
In the first XI game, Frodsham dismissed Cholmondeley for 139 with good bowling from Jack McGrogan, 4-24, Matt Deakin, 2-34 and Roger London, 2-35.
But their batting flopped with only Dave Woodall, 21, reaching double figures as they crashed out for 62.
Frodsham 2nd hit 106, with Leon Pietrzac top scoring with 30 and Chris Fennel hitting 27. Hartford were restricted to 98-6, Andrew Graham taking 4-8 and Charlie Ball 2-22.
Kingsley won against Oakmere, batting first and h itting 137-9. Charlie Loy hit 32 and Kingsley Warman 37.
Loy was on form with the ball too, taking 4-21 as Oakmere were dismissed or 99. Craig Lynch took 4-27.
Kingsley 2nd hit 134-5 against Oakmere 2nd, with Steven Forster hitting 56 not out and Andrew Ainsworth 30. It was not enough however, as Oakmere strolled to 136-2.
Alvanley had a good win over Upton in the Vivio Cheshire County League, dismissing them for 115 and then replying with 118-4. A fine all round performance from Stephen Charles had a lot to do with the result, as he first took 4-21 and then hit an unbeaten 59. Ben Tumilty took 3-17.
Back in the Cheshire League, Alvanley 2nd defeated Weaverham, hitting 140 and then dismissing Weaverham for 123. Good batting from J Evans, 49 and Josh Morris, 40, was the cornerstone of their victory.
