HELSBY High School pupil James Davenport won the won the Young Person “Volunteer of the Year” award at the West Cheshire Youth Community awards.
James was nominated by Frodsham Youth Club for his commitment to the club.
The club – and the judges – were impressed with how James helps out at the club and also how he persuade other club members to get involved in sport.
Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Earlyh Help and Prevention Service organise the awards to celebrate the work of young people across the borough.
A spokesperson for Helsby High said: “We are proud to recognise James’ achievement. Well done, James.”
