Ladies Circle’s £1,000 donation to school

MEMBERS of Frodsham Ladies Circle visited Helsby High School to present them with a cheque for £1,000.
The donation arose from fundraising by the Ladies Circle over the last year.
Head teacher John Dowler and assistant head teacher Ms C Simmonds were present at the meeting.
Pupils explained the various ways in which Student Voice – the school council – operates at the school and discussed ideas that had been put forward, including establishing a stationary shop, purchasing book boxes for each form class, healthy eating/drinking vending machines and Helsby High School water bottles.
Pupils thanked the Ladies Circle for the donation – and said they looked forward to inviting them back to school so they could see how the money had been used.
