LIAM Jones became the youngest ever councillor at Frodsham when he joined the Town Council in 2015.
Last night (Monday) he has become the town’s youngest-ever Mayor – taking over from Cllr Lord Frank Pennington, the council’s longest-serving member, who has just completed his second term and was, in fact, Frodsham’s first-ever Mayor.
Cllr Jones, aged 23. has lived in Frodsham since 1998 and attended Weaver Vale Primary School and Helsby High School. He represents Overton and Five Crosses ward.
He now works as a CAD architect assistant for Randle White Ltd, Warrington.
During the past 12 months, he has served as Deputy Mayor.
Cllr Caroline Ashton, who also represents Overton and Five Crosses ward, has been installed as the new Deputy Mayor
Cllr Alan Oulton has been re-elected chairman of the council.
