Abandoned to torrentrial rain – after Jamie London’s four wicket haul

FRODSHAM’S Cheshire Cricket League match at Wistaston was abandoned to torrential rain – but not before Jamie London had picked up four wickets.
The Frodsham stalwart took 4-12 in nine overs as the home side struggled to 46-5 in 18 overs.
Matt Deakin took 1-17.
But the rains came so despite being in a strong position, Frodsham had to share the points equally.
Frodsham 2nd picked up their points the easy way when their home game with called off because Winnington Park could not raise a team.
On Sunday, Frodsham lost to Runcorn in a friendly game.
Runcorn hit 137-8, Nithin Gopalakrishnan taking 3-17. Then Frodsham hit 96-8.
Kingsley got the better of a drawn game away at Maritime.
Batting first, they hit 139-8, Ben Stoddart top-scoring with 40, and Keiron Ollier hitting 26.
The Wirral side replied with 106-9, Stoddart taking 3-21 and Joel Logan 3-23.
Kingsley 2nd won by 35 runs at home to Old Parkonians.
Harry Hebden hit 40 and Matt Betteridge 29 as Kingsley hit 145 all out.
Old Parkonians could only muster 110 Paul Betteridge taking 4-12
Alvanley had to settle for a draw at Urmston when rain brought proceedings to a halt when they were 26-0 in reply to the home side’s 265-6.
Alvanley 2nd lost by nine wickets at home to Macclesfield but Alvanley 3rd won by five wickets at home to Wirral after bowling out the visitors for 97. Ruben Buscombe took 3-24.
