Frodsham school celebrates donation of television sets

EIGHT schools – including Frodsham Primary Academy – are celebrating after being donated 37-inch flat screen television sets.
The schools are all members of Warrington Primary Academy Trust (WPAT) and the 43 television sets have been donated by Amazon and Northwich-based business consultancy Gleave.
Gleave, which supports Amazon with their management of surplus warehouse equipment, came up with the idea of donating to local schools
The 43 sets will be divided between the eight schools – including Frodsham Primary Academy. The other schools are in Warrington and Widnes.
Fiona Waite of Gleave said: “We were working through items no longer needed due to spec changes and the TVs were on the list. One of our team knew that these would make a big impact at local schools so we worked with Amazon to make this donation an exception to our usual route for reusing, repurposing or recycling.”
Nikki Edwards, WPAT’s finance and operations director, said: “We’re so grateful to Gleave and Amazon for thinking about the needs of local schools with this generous donation. The sets will be a valuable addition to our bank of audio-visual equipment and will be used to show learning resources in classrooms across our eight primary schools.”
WPAT is a community of more than 2,300 children aged 2 – 11. Formed in 2016, the trust quickly developed a national reputation for excellent standards. WPAT provides staff at all of its schools with support, expertise and professional development so that they can provide the very best education standards for their children.
