Alvanley to enter team in Cheshire Women’s Cricket League

ALVANLEY Cricket Club is to enter a team in the Cheshire Women’s Cricket League this summer.
An application from the club was accepted at the league’s annual general meeting.
Alvanley will play in the regional division four – along with a number of other new members including New Mills, Macclesfield and Toft.
A number of clubs already represented in the league are to enter 2nd XIs.
Matches will start on April 23.
As many as eight CWCL clubs – the highest to date – will be involved in the ECB’s national T20 club competitions this year. This includes a majority of the first division teams.
Two CWCL players represented their countries in the Under 19 T20 World Cup in South Africa last month – wicket keeper Seren Smale, of Nantwich and Liv Bell of Stockport Georgians.
