Frodsham coasts to a comfortable victory

FRODSHAM coasted to a comfortable 65-run victory over Glazebury in the Cheshire Cricket League.
Asked to bat first, Frodsham were bowled out for 137 in 43 overs, Matt Williamson top-scoring with 23 and Roger London hitting 20.
At 52-2, Glazebury looked well capable of reaching their target. But a batting collapse followed and Glazebury were eventually all out for 72.
Matt Deakin, 4-10 and Jamie London, 3-27 were the main wicket takers for Frodsham.
Frodsham 2nd lost by 45 runs at Winnington Park after the home side batted first and hit 196-6 in 40 overs.
G Murphy hit 52 and Nick James 26 as Frodsham reached 145-9 in 40 overs.
Kingsley lost by three wickets after being put in at home to Oakmere. George Waring hit 76 and Ben Stoddart 32 as Kingsley hit 129.
Oakmere replied with 131-7. Ben Stoddart, Joel Logan and Tom Waring picked up two wickets each.
Kingsley 2nd lost by one run in an exciting finish at Chester County Officers.
The home side hit 145-9, Zac Warman 5-29, Joe Kitchen 3-21. Kingsley fell short by just one run with Jamie Creek and Aidan O’Grady bothhitting 26.
Alvanley went down by 93 runs at Congleton when they were rolled over for 66.
Alvanley 2nd won by six wickets against Marple. Andy Bennion, 42 and Phil Erasmus, 5-34, were the stand-out players.
A friendly match between Frodsham and Kingsley went Frodsham’s way when they hit 97-7 after bowling out Kingsley for 94.
