Frodsham Cricket Club gearing up for the new season

FRODSHAM Cricket Club is gearing up for the new season, which starts later this month.
Members have been working hard to get the Moor Lane ground ready for what promises to be a keenly contested competition in division three of the UKFast Cheshire League.
He square has been mown and rolled, the changing rooms have been renovated and repairs have been carried out to the wicket covers, the sight screens and the artificial wicket and nets.
Frodsham 1st XI will be playing in division three while the 2nd XI will compete in division C west. Both will be hoping matches will not be lost to the weather, COVID or the opposition!
The 2nd XI will open the season with a home game against Cholmondeley on Saturday April 23 while the 1st XI will start their season on April 30, with a home game against Offerton.
Last summer was a disappointing one for Frodsham with five matches abandoned to the weather and the 1st XI failing to strike form often. They finished 10th out of 13 in their division. He 2nd XI did rather better but still ended up eighth in their division.
Both sides will be hoping to do better this year
