Frodsham go down after competitive match

FRODSHAM lost by 31 runs hosting a competitive match against Aston.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bat first and got off to a fine start with both openers passing 50. Frodsham’s bowlers toiled in the sun as Aston accumulated 212 all out. Sohail Mona took 4-34 and Matt Deakin 2-36.
Frodsham batted well in reply, with Richard Watt hitting 36 and Mona 26. But they never looked like getting the runs and finished on 181 all out.
Frodsham 2nd lost by seven wickets at Alvanley after being bowled out for 129.
M Connolly hit 38 and Thomas Burgess 37 but the final total was not enough to trouble the home side who hit off the runs for the loss of three wickets.
Josh Nicholson hit 58 not out.
Kingsley won by six wickets after demolishing visitors Northwich for 62.
Ben Stoddart took 6-33 as Northwich collapsed in disarray.
Kingsley coasted to victory on 66-4 with Nirvik Ganapathi hitting 42 not out.
Kingsley 2nd won by eight wickets at Port Sunlight, restricting the home side to 164-7. Adrian Burden took 3-33.
Edward Leneghan hit 74 not out and Matt Betteridge 66 as Kingsley strolled to 165-2.
