FRODSHAM lost by five wickets at Styal after losing the toss and being asked to bat first.
Opening bat Richard Watt hit a useful 33 but none of the other Frodsham batsmen got really settled and when the last wicket fell the score was a disappointing 131.
Styal set about getting the runs and despite some good bowling by James Palliser, who took 3-25 they coasted to victory at 133-5 in 35 overs.
Frodsham 2nd enjoyed a healthy seven wicket victory hosting Barrow.
The visitors were restricted to 186-7, with Ian Deakin taking 3-26.
It seemed a challenging enough target, but Frodsham reached victory in the 35th over, with Nick Corless hitting 32, Jaymie Smith 36 and G Murphy a superb 75.
Kingsley drew at Heaton Mersey after hitting 213-7. But it was a closely fought fame with the home side 202-7 when the overs ran out.
Joel Logan top-scored with 42-not out for Kingsley, and there were useful innings from Martyn Jenks, 37 and Patrick Phelan, 38.
Logan and Tom Waring picked up two wickets each as Heaton Mersey went for the runs but fell just short.
Kingsley 2nd hosted Appleton and won by 93 runs – bowling out the visitors for 97 in reply to Kingsley’s 190-8.
Kingsley Warman, 61 and skipper Jaimie Creek, 38 were Kingsley’s main run-getters while Jason Taylor took 6-11.
Alvanley went down by 39 runs at Stockport Georgians who batted first and hit 184. Alvanley could only muster 145
