FRODSHAM won the toss and elected to bat first hosting Heaton Mersey Village – but lost out in a keenly contested match.
Openers Richard Watt, 40, and D Chriscoli, 39, gave Frodsham a good start and 183 all out was a decent enough total.
But the visitors also started well in response and despite 3-39 from James Palliser and two wickets each for Matt Deakin and Jamie London, reached their target with three wickets to spare.
Frodsham 2nd also lost, at Barnton, where the home side batted first and reached 175-6. Frodsham fell short by 24 runs.
However, Frodsham came out on top in a friendly gave at Burton on Sunday.
The Wirral side were bowled out for 121 with S Sohail taking 4-15.
Frodsham coasted to victory with 123-3, Sohail hitting 53 not out and Jim Morrel 43 not out.
Kingsley lost at Warrington after being bowled out for 98 in 36 overs, with only a defiant 46 from wicket keeper Matthew Dunning keeping them in the match at all.
Umer Zebb took 4-25 and Brad McIntosh 3-16 were the pick of Warrington’s bowlers.
Warrington had 37 on the board before they lost a wicket, with Patrick Tyrell hitting 46. Thaakier Davids hit 21 not out to make sure the home side won comfortable.
But Joel Logan bowled well for Kingsley, taking 5-23.
Kingsley 2nd won 36 runs, hosting Oxton after batting first and posting 180 for five. Kingsley Warman hit a fine 70 and skipper Jamie Creek h it 30.
Oxton were dismissed for 144, with Warman, 3-20 and Adrian Burden 3-29 the pick of the Kingsley bowlers.
Alvanley went down by 60 runs, hosting Bowdon who batted first and hit 158 all out. Michael Rowlands took 5-22. Alvan ley were dismissed for a disappointing 98, Toby Honeysett top scored with 26 not out.
Alvanley 2nd went down by five wickets at Alderley Edge.
Batting first they hit 157-9 but the challenge didn’t trouble the home side.
It was left to Alvanley 3rd to bring success for the club. They posted a challenging 212-8 at home to Winnington Park and then dismissed the visitors for 116.
Richard Sinclair, 50 starred with the bat while David Summers, 3-18, was the most successful bowler.
